Right here in part 2 of this series we’ll be going over how so you can form your piece for maximum effectiveness in WordPress. As important as having properly SEO’d material is, which we’ll be going over first, a seamlessly SEO’d article serves no purpose if it doesn’t effectively funnel your subscribers to take whatever action you require them to take.
In the first article in this SEO training series I said that it was crucial for you to do some keyword research for your domain name right away before you burned your marketing funds on an ineffective domain name that you can’t get rid of. In your articles it is still tremendously essential. Focus on your keywords right off the bat before you write out your article piece so you know how to best go after your target audience. In fact, if you haven’t already done so, I highly encourage you to read this post first before continuing on with this one.
The next most important thing to focus on is to create valuable content that will catch the attention of your target market. The first thing, aside from the subject matter, is around how many words you want your material to have.
If you are sending your material to an article submission page, which we’ll really dig into later on in this series, there are extremely few places (I only know of one so far) which won’t accept any material with less than 600 words in it, but with many other sites there is a somewhat decent sized window that you can play around with of about 300-700 words for your submission.
If you are doing this as a blog post, you can write even fewer words if you decide to use a video as the prime source of material. With that being the case your words only need to serve the role of explaining the subject matter the video is about, and anything of importance you may have left out of the video, or any links you might want to place in your post under the video.
Most importantly, in one way or another, either with your video or in the content underneath, you absolutely should incorporate some sort of convincing, unmistakable call to action to whatever action you want your readers to take. “Click here,” “follow me on…” “Subscribe to my channel,” whatever it is. Sometimes the things we take for granted that are on your page can be things we may over time end up not noticing altogether until someone (you) guides us to it.
So there you go. Simple enough; have compelling content and have a understandable, definite call to action at the bottom, as well as the means to follow through on that call to action. After you have all that good to go, just publish your submission and you’re ready to roll.
If you don’t have your material perfect right off the bat, don’t sweat it. You can always come back to it and change it later with ease. The biggest thing is that you get your content out there enough to be seen, whether or not it’s perfect. If you expect to get your material in the search engines, you have to put it out there at any rate. Just get it going. Just be willing to make a few bloopers. As long as you just keep going and learning better ways of doing things in your journey, there’s no telling how far you can take your new business.
This completes part 2 of my SEO training series. More to come soon. In the meantime I ask that you leave any comments & let me know how this training has helped you up to this point, as well as any other comments. Take care & I wish you the very best of success.
