MLM Success Series: Contacting Professionals Part 3 – Principles of The Millionaire Mindset

In the previous 2 parts of this series I went into the best demographic to contact about joining your relationship marketing business and also how to approach them like a professional with a couple small scripts to help. However, approaching these people right out the gate can be the best thing you can do for your business, but it can be grossly intimidating for a ton of reasons.

First off, they don’t know you from Adam, so you have no idea how they’ll respond to you. Second off, if you don’t view yourself as someone who is successful, or at least making progress toward success, they may not take you seriously. So to accomplish what is easily the most important piece of the relationship marketing puzzle you need to give yourself the right mindset to push through your fears & ultimately achieve the lifestyle of your dreams.

Here are 4 questions to ask yourself to give lasting confidence, the correct mindset, & total preparation to give a world-class presentation to bring these soon-to-be rock stars into your business.

1. What do YOU have of value to lead with? What is your (or your team’s) Unique Selling Proposition?

Promote your opportunity eventually, but first YOU!! Leveraging your team is also acceptable, preferably those you work directly alongside.

There are also specific questions behind this one that you absolutely MUST address in your mind before you present your business. Make no mistake, this is exactly what is on your prospect’s mind:

“Of all the network marketing companies, why work with your company?”

“Of all the teams in your company, why work with your team?”

“Of all the teams in network Marketing, why work with yours?”

Before anything else, you must feel in your mind and heart that you are the absolute BEST at what you do. Learn your business inside out as much as you can while taking action on that knowledge right away any way you can.

2. What are your specific strengths as a team member? What value do those strengths provide to others?

Again, there is no better way to find your answer with correct knowledge coupled with decisive action.

3. What is your mission? What drives you to give of yourself to others?

There is only one thing more valuable than all the gold and diamonds in the world: good will. Sure, while making money & helping your family live the life they deserve is certainly a noble endeavor, there are few things more powerful and magnetically attractive to you prospects than a mission that has clearly grabbed your heart. This also has a beautiful way of destroying any fear you may have about showing your presentation to the President of the United States if you had to; the perceived pain of possible failure is far outweighed by the feeling of what will happen by you achieving (or the fear of not achieving) this higher dream.

4. How can WE benefit each other in our endeavors?

Remember, network marketing is a team sport; just going after a sale is an extremely easy trap to fall into, and also the most devastating for your business. Always keep in mind why the person sitting across from you would want to come into your business. Most importantly, when they do join you, you must know what their motivation is for joining you if you plan on getting them where they want to go. Remember question 3 about your mission. If you make your mission about others and you act on that mission, your personal needs will never go unmet, ever.

Someone once said, “Network Marketing will challenge every insecurity you have.” There are many phenomenal MLM success tools open & available to network marketers now to become successful should they choose. The difference, however, between those who fail and those who succeed are that the successful found a way to conquer their demons, whatever those demons may have been. They did it by finding & building their strengths, killing their weaknesses, creating a solid millionaire mindset and pushing themselves to complete a mission greater than themselves.

What is really pushing you do become a successful network marketer? What is it that is pushing you through those fears & insecurities that you may have? Of all the advice I could ever give I feel the most important is this: Keep your mission in front of you AT ALL TIMES, and make it about helping others, whether it be your family, your friends, your teammates or a charity to help strangers in need. Do these simple things and you, and those you help up along the way through your example, and you & those you inspire along the way will be on your way to finally achieving the life of your dreams.
